Do I need to bring my Bible?

Pastor Dennis’ sermons are centered on the scripture. Some of the main passages will be shown on the screen, but he will also cross-reference other books which will not show on the screen. Additionally, if you attend one of our classes, we are always going through different books of the bible, so we encourage you to bring a Bible. If you forget, or do not have one, don’t worry, we have many NIV Bibles available for you to use.

Is there a dress code?

We believe that when we first come to Jesus, he accepts us as we are, no matter how messy our lives are. Therefore, we also accept newcomers as they are, without judgement, because we were once there too. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we can expect our old habits, and behavior naturally change, because of a greater understanding and reverence for what Christ did for us on the cross.

When it comes to our worship services, we want to ensure that everyone feels welcomed while also honoring the atmosphere of reverence that is essential to our gathering. While there is no strict dress code, we kindly ask that you wear clothing that reflects the respect for our Lord, Jesus Christ, and consideration for those around you. For some, this may mean a suit and tie, while for others, jeans paired with a classic plain t-shirt may be perfectly appropriate. Ultimately, our goal is to create an environment where everyone can worship comfortably and joyfully. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Is this a church where my family will experience meaningful Christian fellowship and accountability?

As a new member (typing this answer), my family has experienced many churches, big and small. The thing that amazed us about First Christian happened on our first visit to the church when almost everyone in the service welcomed us. You could tell that this was not planned and the people were not in trained positions as greeters; it was genuine. As we continued to get to know FCC, we found that there were many fellowship groups, prayer groups and classes where we found the fellowship and Christian accountability we were looking for.
