Backpack Program
During the school year, FCC’s JOY group teams up with Community Services Clearinghouse in Fort Smith, and the counselors in the Poteau School District, to ensure none of the students in Poteau go home hungry. Each week, the group fills bags with non-perishable foods and delivers them to the counselors who then ensure the children get them in their backpacks before going home for the day.
